英國升學｜Outstanding公立學校降級之路

英國公立學校的評分機構叫Ofsted（Office for Standards in Education, Children\'s Services and Skills），最簡單的解讀方法就是看每所學校的報告評分，共分四個評級：Outstanding、Good、Requires Improvement及Inadequate。
學校評級四準則
一所Outstanding的學校在以下四方面得到的評價，均是最高分數︰
1.領導與管理（Leadership and management）︰有關學校的管理質素及效率
2.教學質素（Quality of teaching）︰有關老師的教學質素及學習評估方法
3.學生行為與安全（Behaviour and safety of pupils）︰有關學生行為及學校安全
4.學生成就（Achievement of pupils）︰有關學生的成績及成就
英格蘭的教育部在二○一二年為了節省開支，豁免了大部分Outstanding公立中小學的例行評審。由於不少人批評此舉讓不少學校故步自封，這個措施在二○二○年已取消。但在全英格蘭大約三千四百所Outstanding中小學中，43%最少十年未曾進行評審，38%最後一次評審已在五至十年之前。教育部門希望在二○二五年夏季之前，為全英格蘭所有學校進行評審，好讓大眾得到每所學校的最新資訊。
最近Ofsted就更新了三百七十一所公立中小學的評級，當中八成學校的評級由最高的Outstanding降至其他級別；今次就先由比較多香港人聚居的Manchester及英國東北地區說起。
五校降級較嚴重
根據最新公布，以下五所學校（兩所小學、三所中學）降級特別嚴重，特別留意位於Lancashire的Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School及位於Manchester的The King David High School，這兩所中學均由最高級別的Outstanding，降至最低級別的Inadequate︰
Lancashire: Rawtenstall Balladen Community Primary School——降至Requires Improvement
Lancashire: Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School——降至Inadequate
Manchester: The King David High School——降至Inadequate
Oldham: The Radclyffe School——降至Requires Improvement
Stockport: Great Moor Infant School——降至Requires Improvement
降為Good中小學
由Outstanding降為Good的Manchester及英國東北地區小學︰
Bolton: Egerton Primary School
Cheshire East: Goostrey Community Primary School
Cheshire West and Chester: Hartford Primary School
Cheshire West and Chester: Clutton Church of England Primary School
Lancashire: Poulton-le-Fylde St Chad\'s CofE Primary School
Oldham: Mills Hill Primary School
St Helens: St Theresa\'s Catholic Primary School
Trafford: Brooklands Primary School
Trafford: Our Lady of the Rosary RC Primary School
Trafford: Well Green Primary School
