【英國升學】BNO移居英國第四大城市利物浦 附優質公立中小學校名單

有BNO父母打算計畫在明年移居到利物浦，不知甚麼地區有好的公立中小學校呢？

利物浦（Liverpool），是英國西北部港口城市，距離倫敦325公里，乘火車到倫敦需2小時40分鐘。利物浦市區的人口約為四十萬，英國第四大城市。利物浦有完善的城市交通體系，覆蓋整個默西塞德郡（Merseyside）地區，並連接周邊的大曼徹斯特郡（Greater Manchester）、柴郡（Cheshire）與蘭開夏郡（Lancashire)） 。

利物浦還是著名樂隊披頭四的故鄉，都是在此發跡的。兩支英超聯球會，利物浦和愛華頓也位於利物浦。

物浦市內建築獨具風格，有著名的大教堂、市政廳、聖喬治大廳、大劇院和音樂廳，並擁有一所英國久負盛名的老牌名校利物浦大學，可上溯至清朝年間；市內建有歐洲最古老的中國城。

默西塞德郡（Merseyside）是個很大的地方，學校分佈零散，利物浦是郡內最多人聚居在城市，其他近郊地方有Sefton, Wirral 及St.Helen 地區，例如，從默郡（Merseyside）到韋勒拉爾（Wirral）大約16.5公里，駕車或乘公共汽車前往學校的時間為28至35分鐘，家長有心理準備要駕車送上學。

優質公立中學方面The Blue Coat School Liverpool是利物浦一所歷史悠久的文法學校，成立於1708年。其成績至今還十分優越，是全英最好的文法學校之一。其他的學校還有1840年成立的Liverpool College 利物浦學院等。利物浦共有三所大學，分別是利物浦大學University of Liverpool、Liverpool John Moore Univeristy 和Liverpool Hope Univeristy，其中利物浦大學是屬於羅素集團的研究型重點大學。
